My very first time applied to SQ was around early March 2016 to Wisma Asia, Jakarta. First thing first, I came and they gave me a queuing number and proceed to documents drop. Docs needed: university/diploma certificate, copy of passport, copy of identity card, CV, passport sized photos, copy of birth certificate, & SQ forms (Indonesia: http://www.sqcentre.com/cabincrewrecruit) Tips: Come early, neat and tidy, tie or do your hair, light make up will do and heels or court shoes for your comfy.

Height weight check. At this step, a woman that recorded my weight said I'm underweight for 8kg approx and asked me to sit down again, then around 5 minutes she called me again to re-do weight scaling. A lot of girls go home at this step, I don't know why she didn't asked me to go home or saying "Thanks for coming."

Called 10 by 10 interview. One minute each person to introduce and sell yourself. Only 1 or 2 people accepted in this stage and others may go home.

Continue with English test. It's not a TOEFL test anw, but yes got a bit math inside.

3 by 3 interview and skin check on your teeth, arms, legs, neck and face.

Invitation to final interview. At this step, they will wait until approx 3 months open day interview are all finish and do one final interview for every quarter month. Mine held at Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta at end of March 2016.

This is the moment when the final interview was 1 on 4 panel. So I went in to the room alone and questioned by 4 people from SQ. The questions were random and different for every candidates. Mine were: "which one first, chicken or egg? Why?" "Whats your favorite color?" "Describe in 3 words, whats cabin crew in your opinion". The rest I can't remember, sorry guys. Haha! I remember one girl get this question: "Which one is true, make up make woman pretty or woman pretty with make up?” Basically all this question only testing the way you thinking. Either you are logical and positive minds or not. There's no false or true answer in my opinion. BUT! I'm not a judges, I don't know what the criteria they are looking for are. Be confident but not over, humble and cheerful, put your best smile and just do it!

After some girls out from that room and crying (they get rejected directly inside) they went out, for those who get accepted, pleased to the next room. In this room, they asked me to don a uniform (kebaya, sarong and sandals). They checked once more on my weight and do arm test. Which mean you have to stretch your arms up to reach a line. Some girls no need to tip toe but some yes. Proceed to another skin check, they looked closely to my face, neck, arms, legs and teeth. At this stage I get delayed because of pimples on my forehead which after I went to doctor, It’s not a pimple. It’s only a blackhead. Yes, A. One only. They put me keep in view until the next final interview.

August 2016, I attended their final interview with another batch while my other friends already start going to Singapore. I straightly went to skin check and passed.

Medical Checkup in Jakarta. They check my urine, blood, eyesight and general test. Some girls asked to redo their blood test. I heard cause their blood pressure quite low.

If you are pass the first medical check, they will email you to send them your passport and they will apply your work visa in Singapore. This step will take months until they call you to go to Singapore for training finally. For those who didn't managed to the next step, SQ people sent a physical letter to their house and saying thank you to have interest for applying.... (the rest you continue by yourself)

Arrived at Singapore, I had another medical checkup and if there any additional test, they will charge you individually. I have this back pain issue and I know it will be matter for SQ, and when I did my medical checkup, doctor asked did I realize I have scoliosis and I said yes I know but I don't know how much degree is it. And they do another x-ray scan on me and I paid around S$88.00.

I managed to pass all steps and continue to training which I will share at other time. For you all who wants to apply, best of luck! Just be yourselves and do your best! All the process may takes time until you finish that all and finally departing to Singapore, but all worth it if you really want it. Again, GOOD LUCK!
